Custom lens solution for better vision
The parameters of the ZEISS i.Scription® technology lenses are provided by the ZEISS i.Profiler Plus, which provides perfectly accurate, fingerprint-like data about the eye.
This includes current visual performance, mapping any eye conditions – which can also affect our vision at twilight, for example – and the individual size of the pupil. This provides a fully comprehensive and accurate set of eye data, resulting in a perfectly tailored lens that takes into account both visual needs and individual preferences.
The ZEISS i.Scription® technology crowns this by giving you even better vision quality.
Lots of positives in one lens
The ZEISS i.Scription® technology analyses the smallest scattering circle, so the lenses made in this way give our eyes an extremely precise correction. They also help you to achieve the perfect visual experience. This type of correction takes into account the effects of low and high order aberrations on the image quality of the retina, measured at up to 1500 points in each eye.
These optimised lenses provide sharp, clear vision in normal to low light conditions, day or night, or even at twilight. This is achieved by reducing the distracting and unpleasant effects of light scattering, increasing brightness and sharpening contrast. This makes colours more vivid, details sharper and different light sources, such as headlights from oncoming cars, less glaring. In addition, ZEISS colourless lenses also provide full UV protection.
Sharper vision, greater safety
People who wear glasses often find that their vision is much worse in low-light conditions – at dusk or at night. Because the pupil dilates, depth of field is lost and therefore spatial vision is not as good. In addition, poor contrast and distracting reflections are not just a momentary inconvenience, but a constant source of eye fatigue. Whether you are walking or driving, this reduces the feeling of safety enormously, and many people prefer not to drive in such lighting conditions.
However, i.Scription® technology takes into account the fact that the wearer’s pupils dilate at night when designing the lens and provides a solution to the problem. This is also made possible by the ZEISS i.Profiler Plus. While conventional subjective refraction testing can only be performed in a well-lit room, objective refraction with this device can also assess your night vision. This means that the optimised lenses will improve our night vision, giving us a much better visual experience in low light conditions and keeping our sense of safety within normal limits.
